Name of Site: Swardston Common.
Location: B1113 Mulbarton Road. First right in Swardeston Village; the common is on the right after approximately ½ mile.

Description: Approximately 10ha of common with open grassland, blackthorn
scrub and semi-mature native trees with a few ponds - old watering holes from a time when the grassland was grazed
by cattle.
Good site for walking around the many informal footpaths across the common.
Management of the common is co-ordinated by a Steering Group with work carried out by South Norfolk District Council and
Norwich Fringe Project
