August 2006 Report
The main progress so far has been understanding the detail of what the
project will be delivering. It is now a case of 'getting on with it'.
This new website is one of our first key deliverables and will be used to communicate future activity.
We have just selected a contractor for thinning work in the woodland. A 'dark wild' section will be retained in the woodland to encourage the ferns and wildlife. The work is scheduled for completion by the end of 2006.
A newsletter will be posted through local doors, with a copy on this sit, advising them of what we are doing, and why.
Once the dates are...

finalised for the contractor work we will be booking some training days with BTCV (Details to follow).
We are in the process of ordering tools and equipment for future conservation days in the woodland.
The heritage research is ongoing, and we are planning our approach to the nature survey and interpretation boards.
