Recreation
To improve opportunities for public access and quiet recreational pursuits
in the Norwich Fringe.
Conservation
To protect and improve wildlife and archaeological sites in areas accessible
to the general public.
Landscape
To maintain and enhance the visual character of the landscapes.
Participation
To encourage the involvement of local people to protect and enhance
the Norwich fringe countryside.

To increase the understanding and appreciation of the area by those who use it.
Funding
To identify external sources of funding to support the work the project undertakes.
Liaison
To contribute to other projects and strategies.
Objectives achieved by
Undertaking practical work such as access improvments, tree and hedge planting,
habitat and site management.
Working with local people to improve their surroundings.
Developing partnerships with local communities, parish councils,

landowners, local authorities and other organisations.
Promoting a better understanding of the countryside through leaflets, and events
programme, guided walks and talks.
Recent Projects
Over the past ten years the Project has developed a working partnership with Eaton Hall Special School.
Students with learning difficulties and behavioural problems work with the Project on practical tasks, such as scrub clearing, tree planting, access improvements, stile repairs and building benches for people to sit on and relax.
