Description: Small mixed woodland mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Good range of tree species including hornbeam. Great for woodland flowers, spring bird song and fungi.
Paths generally uneven with tree roots, wet in places and steep slopes.
A Friends of Lion Wood Group look after the wood and orgnaise work days and events.
